The blog has been a little neglected as we finished up wedding season and rolled right into “expo prep”. One of my biggest passions in life is weddings, and I’m super proud of my position on the Board of Directors for The Outer Banks Wedding Association. Each January, OBWA hosts one of the biggest events on the Outer Banks, the annual Outer Banks Wedding Weekend – consisting of a 2 day wedding expo and a self guided venue tour. It’s THE wedding event of the year with over 150+ wedding vendors showcased. As a business owner, the amount of prep time that goes into having a booth at the show is insane. As you can imagine, the man hours the Wedding Association puts into planning the show is a year-long process! We basically recap and start planning the next expo as soon as one ends! It’s one of the most exhausting, but fun, weekends of the year!
We were so blessed to have been able to meet some pretty amazing couples at the expo this year, and very humbled to have some pretty awesome features in the 2016 Outer Banks Bride Magazine!

I was super excited about our 2016 CHP Bride Bag! This year’s bag is BIGGER than last year AND has a zipper!! It’s the perfect OBX beach tote!
A special thanks goes out to my awesome dad, Jeff, who carts my stuff to/from the expo each and every year! With a hubby who travels the world for work, it never fails he’s always out of town on expo weekend, and I’m thankful to have an amazing dad who doesn’t hesitate to carry my crabpots and nautical fabric covered bench all over the place! Another huge shout-out goes to my dear sweet friend, Alex, who helped work the booth this year, and many years prior!
