Do you know how often I hear couples say they haven’t had professional photos taken since their wedding? And for some their wedding and/or engagement was the ONLY time they’ve had professional photos taken? Some people say it’s because they felt silly doing it “just because” and some people say it’s because they’re shy or “don’t like themselves in photos”. We completely understand – not everyone loves being in front of the camera but we just truly believe in capturing your family, in whatever shape it/size it comes in, in that moment.
Alison and Shane are the perfect example that just because you’re already married, doesn’t mean you can’t have a photography session! I was so honored to be the wedding photographer for Alison’s sister Emily, and as a thank you for all of her hard work in helping to plan their big day Emily surprised Alison & Shane by booking me for a couple’s session. I absolutely LOVE their whole family and loved getting to spend some extra time with them during wedding week! We spent the afternoon strolling around Downtown Manteo visiting some of my favorite spots! Since this session they’ve added a sweet little boy to the mix, and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing their family once again….and for many years to come I hope!
