It seems like fall wedding season was just go-go-go for us this year! Now that things are {somewhat} calming down, we figure what could be better than to get Bree & Paul’s gorgeous Nags Head Wedding up on the blog? These two are everything you’d expect from OBX Locals. Bree’s family is native and they paid nod to her family’s long standing tradition of providing entertainment for the OBX community by utilizing their family business, Full Throttle Speedway, as the venue for their ceremony & reception. Bree’s dad worked to transform their sound-front property, even building them a platform for their ceremony. Perfect for their 300+ guests to gather around and watch them say “I Do”. Paul’s family has owned and operated the Lost Colony Brewery & Cafe since 1995 – a staple along the Manteo Waterfront and known for brewing their own locally crafted beer. You might remember Bree & Paul from their Brewery Engagement Session, which took place in their brand new brewing facility!

With the help of Beth Pallet with Engaging Events, and Dorothy and her crew at Bells & Whistles, Bree & Paul had the prefect botanical feel to their wedding day. It was some of my favorite wedding decor all season! So often we see a lot of the same, but Bells & Whistles really knocked Bree’s vision out of the park! Bree expressed she wanted it to feel like one giant backyard party with all 300 of their friends and family….I think she succeeded. Bree & Paul opted for a First Look, which is always one of my favorite parts of the day! We were able to capture photos of them as well as their bridal party before taking a little beer break under the tent!

These two took a super relaxed approach to their reception. Skipping some wedding formalities, guests were invited into the tent for dinner immediately following the ceremony while we snuck away for photos. With no formal introductions their family and wedding party were able to join the fun right away! They were ready to get the party started and almost as soon as we returned from photos guests were on the dance floor! Aside from a quick break for a first dance and toasts, the dance floor stayed packed all night long!
