I’m so so so excited to have this gorgeous Asheville, NC Wedding at Highland Brewing Company on the blog today! You might recognize these faces from their beautiful Elizabethan Gardens Engagement Session! Sara and I were so honored they brought us Asheville to capture their biggest day. While we’re based on the stunning Outer Banks we LOVE to travel for weddings – nothing sparks our creative juices like new venues and locations. We always arrive to our destination weddings a couple of days early to location scout and find the best hidden gems for photos. This trip was no different and we made sure to check out all the amazing spots.
The most unique part of this wedding day was that it was also MY wedding anniversary – and let’s just say Brooke & Matt had far more amazing weather than I did. In another fun turn of events we had a semi-reunion because not only was Brooke’s sister, Alex, one of my bridesmaids – but the always amazing Joanna with Powder Me Pretty was there to make Brooke and her girls stunning – just like she was on my wedding day back when she lived on the OBX!
We started the day getting ready with the girls (and guys) before taking Brooke & Matt to a sweet hidden trail for their First Look. These two are absolutely perfect for each other and describe themselves as silly/goofy and each other’s best friends. That couldn’t be more true! These two love to laugh, and thankfully they think we’re pretty funny too! After the First Look we headed off to an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway for some classic “mountain” photos before meeting up with their families at the venue for more photos. Before we knew it we were getting ready for the ceremony to start. Their sweet (and funny) ceremony was perfect for them and was so beautiful on the rooftop of Highland Brewing Co. Before too long we headed into the brewery for photos in the beer room and then it was time to get the party started!
