I had so much fun at Courtney & Mike’s Outer Banks Engagement Session! These two met me at my favorite spot in South Nags Head on what was probably one of the nicest nights we’ve had lately. They were so sweet, and even though most guys hate having their picture taken, Mike hung in there. We even rewarded him at the end with a little water time! Courtney & Mike scheduled their session while they were here in town, vacationing with friends. Courtney told me that the ring must have been burning a hole in Mike’s pocket because he changed his original plan of proposing here at the beach, and instead proposed a few days before their vacation. I love a man that knows what he wants! Courtney & Mike – congratulations, and thank you for letting me capture such a special moment that starts the beginning of the rest of your lives!
Mike joked a couple of times throughout the session that they should get into the water. I’m always game for a little fun, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE when my clients want to do something a little out of the ordinary. After they managed to get mostly wet by a wave, I had them sit in the surf. I waited, anticipating the wave that I knew was coming. Sure enough, they were totally soaked by an incoming wave and the expression on Courtney’s face was priceless. They were such troopers, and the end result was totally worth it!
